Cam joined the Sprout team in 2015. A lifelong foodie and successful business owner, Cam took his love of cooking seriously when he left the office for the kitchen and followed his dream to turn the kitchen into his work place. Cam is a qualified chef and has several years’ experience in fine dining and function kitchens. He loves sharing his passion for cooking with Sprout cooking class guests and is keen to help everyone learn something new and to grow their confidence in the kitchen. His warm personality makes his classes memorable, being a pleasure to attend and always lots of fun!
Cam’s commitment to local, sustainable cuisine and creating strong partnerships with regional producers starts at home with his own veggie garden, he loves exchanging garden produce with his neighbours. Cam lives with his wife & two daughters who are an inspiration, and his harshest critics!
Lauren joined the Sprout team in March 2013 and has worked with us full-time since early 2014. You may also recognise Lauren as the bright and happy face who welcomes you at Sprout Health Studio! Lauren is a star at keeping our health professionals and their busy days running like clockwork.
Lauren has a Bachelor of Health Sciences, majoring in Nutrition, her favourite things are traveling, dark chocolate and peanut butter, and colour is her thing - whether it is her hair or the food she makes. She especially loves getting to know our Sprout Health Studio clients and encouraging kids to cook and try new things in the kitchen.
Jessica completed her Flinders University student placement at Sprout in 2015, and since then has held the position of Project Officer, dedicating her time to workplace health and menu review projects for a number of high profile businesses around Adelaide. In 2017, Jessica also joins Sprout Health Studio as a consulting dietitian, specialising in dietary restrictions related to allergies, intolerances, autoimmune conditions and personal preferences, as well as chronic diseases such as obesity, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
When Jessica is not at Sprout her love for all things food and health continues. She enjoys the outdoors, cooking, keeping active, socialising with friends, spending time in the garden and enjoying good food and wine. She is extremely passionate about South Australia and supporting local, and one day dreams of owning her own property in the Adelaide Hills.
Eliza, an Accredited Practising Dietitian, completed her Flinders University student placement at Sprout in 2016, and joins the team as a Project Officer in 2017 for our workplace health and menu review projects.
Alice joined the Sprout team in November 2014. She is currently studying Primary and Middle Education at The University of South Australia, hoping to teach French or Home Economics. Alice is passionate about food, desserts of all varieties, celebrating different cultures and teaching children the value of healthy, colourful eating at our Sprout kids classes.
Alice loves travelling and visiting new places, but will always hold the Adelaide Central Market as her favourite place in the world!
Annabel joined the Sprout team in June 2015 after completing one of her final year university placements with us earlier in the year. She has a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from Flinders University and hopes to become a clinical dietitian.
Annabel is passionate about everything health, sport, travel and food! Annabel loves spending her time playing sport, sharing meals with family and friends and planning her next adventure where she hopes to experience as many different foods and cultures as she can.
Themis, who co-founded Sprout with Callum in 2011, was born in Adelaide, South Australia. He is a dedicated and passionate dietitian and health professional, who is determined to help as many people improve their health as possible. He has a Bachelor of Psychology, a Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics and is also a qualified personal trainer. Over many years working in the health and fitness industry, and at his dietetic practice at Sprout Health Studio, Themis has helped countless people change their lives. He specialises in overweight and obesity, Type 2 Diabetes, eating disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, IBS and corporate health.
Themis promotes healthy, nutritious and delicious eating - whether you're trying to lose weight, gain weight or simply ensure your diet is balanced, sustainable and fits in with your lifestyle, and he strongly believes that positive attitudes and healthy habits have a major impact on healthy living. In 2016 Themis co-authored his first cookbook Quick. Easy. Healthy. which is packed with simple, everyday healthy recipes that have proved a hit at Sprout cooking classes.
Themis currently works closely with the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) and Flinders University Nutrition and Dietetics, and is a DAA Media Spokesperson. He is passionate about health and all things food and loves to share his passion and knowledge with others who are keen to learn. In his spare time Themis enjoys running, going to the gym, watching and playing all sports, cooking, reading, enjoying a glass of wine and of course, eating!
Callum, who co-founded Sprout with Themis in 2011, was born in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. Callum was runner up in the 2010 series of MasterChef and the winner of MasterChef All Stars in 2012. After coming 2nd in 2010 Callum was determined to soak up as much culinary knowledge as he could and commenced working with George Calombaris at various Melbourne eateries. After his time in Melbourne Callum travelled around Australia teaching university students valuable cooking skills. In 2012, he released his first cookbook "The Starter Kitchen", and in 2014 released his second cookbook, "I'd Eat That!". In 2016 Callum co-authored his third cookbook Quick. Easy. Healthy. featuring a collection of Sprout's most popular cooking class recipes.
Callum is also a host of Channel Seven's SA Life, Chief Taste Officer at Thankyou Co., and an ambassador for the Cancer Council and Market Fresh SA.
